- People who set out to arouse envy are far more evil than
those who suffer it.
- Envy is defined as sinful because the disadvantaged
mustn't be allowed to feel they are being treated
unjustly, otherwise they might try to do something about
it and spoil things for the prosperous.
- Envy is the normal, natural feeling a person has when he
sees somebody else with something he wants or needs. It is the motivator for
him to do something about it. Provided there is something lawful and
honourable he can do to obtain what he wants it isn't a serious problem.
If there isn't, he has a legitimate grievance, particularly if the person
who has the desired object has done nothing to deserve it and he has.
